The South Ripley Solar project is currently pursuing a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the New York Public Service Commission (PSC). Repsol Renewables must obtain a CPCN prior to starting construction of the South Ripley Solar Project. In considering CPCN approval, the PSC will consider Repsol Renewables’ (1) economic feasibility, (2) ability to finance project improvements, (3) ability to render safe, adequate, and reliable service as well as (4) whether the rates are just and reasonable, and (5) whether the project is in the public interest.
